Cubase is a fantastic piece of music production software. It's an excellent audio tool that produces a lot of great sounding audio files. The greatest feature of Cubase, however, is the ability to program beats and chords from scratch using your own music, if you want to. When you download Cubase for free you have the ability to use your music, but not your own, with the software. This is a great feature, as you can actually use it to create original music using existing instruments. You can get the program and then do all the work yourself, and this is a great way to start making tracks and start adding your own voice to them as well.
There are two options when you download Cubase: one is Windows and the other is Mac. If you download Windows, you can then use it on your computer. This is fine if you're going to use it in conjunction with Cubase, but there are no built-in MIDI tools. Since most DJ's and music producers are using Windows anyway, this won't be an issue. If you're using Mac, however, you'll need to get a MIDI program to make your beats come alive with the music you are creating. You should be able to find one that will be compatible with your operating system, and with the software that you use on a daily basis.
Keep in mind that if you're downloading Cubase to use as your main audio software, you should get a Windows version instead of a Mac version. That's because Macs don't have the same MIDI capabilities as Windows. Since you won't be able to use the program on your Mac, you won't be able to produce beats and create music as you would on a Windows machine. This makes the Windows version a better choice for anyone who wants to use Cubase but wants to be able to create their own beats.
